Title: Adrift
Author: Cypher ([livejournal.com profile] seikaitsukimizu)
Pairing: McKay/Sheppard, Ronon/Jennifer, other minor pairings
Rating: R
Word Count: 86800 words
Summary: Atlantis is forgotten, at least, the people have forgotten who they are. They struggle to find themselves in an alien city, adjusting to this new isolated life. But there is also another story out there, one of a team not exactly who they think they are. They must fight to save the very galaxy themselves, or watch all life in be exterminated. The balance of power is shifting in Pegasus. Fate is in flux, and there may be more than one city that can save the day.
Warnings: First Time (x2), Memory Loss, Semi-Character Death, Minor Dub Con, Swearing
Notes: Inspired by multiple SGA Big Bang plot bunnies, first by Tabula Rasa. It sounds far darker than it actually is, but as my betas will attest it's actually quite a fun little romp through Season 4. Extra special thanks to my betas [livejournal.com profile] never_says_die, [livejournal.com profile] lavvyan, and [livejournal.com profile] clockstopper! They went above and beyond the call of duty!

Hey world! So, real life slammed down like one of those ceiling bricks from Mario, so I'm way behind on, well, everything. Work hasn't helped. Damned doctors.

HOWEVER! Thanksgiving dinner is still on. So if you're in the Bay Area and want to swing by Thurs afternoon for a chat and some food, give me an IM, call, or even a comment here and I'll get you the details.

Happy Holidays everyone!

NCIS:LA just admitted all marines are gangbangers, violent, or useless knuckleheads. I'm not sure if I should feel vindicated or horrified.

So, apparently, I should not try to work-out three days in a row. After 20 mins my body let me know in very, very unpleasant terms it was NOT happy.

I shall now comfort myself with the YCon schedule.

That is all.

Had some minor work and technical issues, but thanks to an awesome (AWESOME!) beta saving the day with missing file data, I was able to get the SGA Big Bang Fic in on-time! Just before 10pm my time. Wow, and 40 others? This is gonna be a HUGE big bang.

Mine clocked in at almost 89,000 words. 89,000!!!!! Part II alone could've been the Big Bang entry, but...well, it's all part of one big story with an evil, evil ending. Synopsis was a killer, and I hope it doesn't confuse too many people. And when filling out the submission form, I started laughing (startling all of my friends) because the Warnings? Make this fic sound far darker than it actually is. It's fun and intense and--well, if you've read my Return to Normalcy-verse, you have a pretty good indication of how varied my moods and themes run, warnings and all. Heh.

Super-Mega kudos to my three betas. [livejournal.com profile] clockstopper, [livejournal.com profile] lavvyan, and [livejournal.com profile] never_says_die, you are utterly fabulous! Thank you thank you for all of your hard work! This couldn't have happened without you. Seriously, you three are goddesses!

And now we wait for November 13th. *bounces* Can't wait to see what artwork I get. *grin*

Also, had the 24 hour flu and am shopping for cars (by force, not choice).

Joy. Back to work tomorrow.

Title: Found & Lost
Author: Cypher
Fandom: Stargate Atlantis
Main Character(s): Lorne, John Sheppard
Warnings: Swearing
Rating: R
Summary: "Now here he was, on some random backwater planet scoping an alien bar for any hints about where the Goa’uld who’d taken Sheppard might be hiding."
Word Count: 2300
Author's Notes: I was reading [livejournal.com profile] lavvyan's Lord of the Sea and got bitten by a plot bunny. Not this one, ironically, but I realized without some backstory, the plot bunny didn't make sense. Hence, the backstory. If you haven't read Lord of the Sea yet, do so. This fic doesn't make much sense without it. And major thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lavvyan for allowing me to play in her sandbox! Enjoy!

Had to drive mom to the dentist, and while I was there, I had mine checked over and cleaned too. I was a wee bit over due (2 years to be precise...oi! Yay for getting insurance!). Other than the three usual problem spots (too small to do anything, but just large enough to notice), my teeth are actually in better condition than they were two years ago! Woooot! Awesome!

Now let's see how much the insurance covers...
